MathTools — a Quirento Ecommerce Private Limited brand · Last updated: November 2026
The short version: Every calculator on MathTools runs entirely in your browser. Your mathematical inputs, equations, and graphs are never sent to our servers to be calculated. If you use the site as a guest, your calculation history is kept in your browser's memory and clears when you reload. If you create an account, we store your email, a securely hashed password, and up to 100 of your most recent calculations. We do not sell your data, we do not train AI models on your data, and we use Google Analytics and AdSense only to keep the site free.
How the tools themselves work is documented in the user guide. Acceptable use sits in the Terms & Conditions; common questions are on the FAQ.

1. Who we are
MathTools ("we", "us") is a brand of Quirento Ecommerce Private Limited, New Town Business District, Rajarhat, Kolkata – 700156, West Bengal, India. We run a collection of free online mathematical calculators, utilities, and graphing tools at this website (the "Service"). This policy explains what we process, why, and the choices you have. You can reach us at any time via support@maths.tools.
2. How the calculators work
- • Client-Side Execution: MathTools performs all mathematical operations locally in your web browser using JavaScript. The numbers, equations, and matrices you enter are never transmitted to a backend server to be calculated.
- • Guest History: If you use the site without logging in, your recent calculation history is stored in your browser's volatile memory. It is never sent to our servers and is permanently deleted the moment you close the tab or reload the page.
- • Account History: If you create an account, we securely transmit and store up to 100 of your most recent calculations in our database. This is done solely so you can access your history across different devices.
3. Accounts and sign-in
- •Signing up: You provide a name (optional), email address, and password.
- •Passwords: We never store your plain-text password. We only store a modern, one-way cryptographic hash (using bcrypt) that cannot be reversed.
- •Signing in: A successful login sets a secure, HTTP-only JSON Web Token (JWT) cookie.
- •Deleting your account: You can delete your account at any time from your Account page. Once deleted, your email, password hash, and calculation history are permanently removed from our database.
4. What an account stores
We only store your name (optional), email address, password hash, and up to 100 of your most recent calculation expressions and results. Account details are kept for as long as the account exists. When you delete your account, all associated rows are permanently removed.
5. Emails we send
We send transactional email only: responses when you use our Contact Form, and (if implemented in the future) password reset codes. We do not run newsletters, and your address is not added to marketing lists. Delivery is handled by a transactional email provider acting on our instructions.
6. What we do not do
- •No selling, renting, or trading of personal data — ever.
- •No human review of your calculations.
- •No training of AI models on your inputs or history.
- •No watermarks, no forced sign-ups to see results, and no locked answers.
- •We use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate visit statistics, and Google AdSense may show clearly labelled ads on public pages. Neither service receives your calculated numbers, account details, or history.
7. Cookies and local storage
We keep this minimal:
- •Session Cookie: A secure, HTTP-only cookie set when you log in. It holds a signed JWT to keep you authenticated.
- •Theme Preference: A local storage key (theme) stores whether you prefer light or dark mode.
- •Guest History: Stored in browser memory only; clears on reload.
- •Google Cookies: Google Analytics 4 sets first-party _ga cookies to measure aggregate traffic. Google AdSense may set advertising cookies. You can block or clear any of them in your browser without breaking the calculators.
8. Server logs
Like every web service, we keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, and API calls to the auth/contact endpoints) to keep the Service safe, debug problems, and stop abuse. These are not used for advertising or profiling.
9. Where your data lives
The Service runs on secure cloud infrastructure and our own database (MongoDB). The only parties that can touch data as part of running the Service are our hosting provider (which runs the servers), Google (Analytics and AdSense), and a transactional email provider (used only to deliver contact form messages). Our hosting and email providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
10. Security
Everything that moves between your browser and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Credentials are hashed at rest (bcrypt). Sessions are protected using HTTP-only cookies to prevent Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks. API endpoints for authentication and history syncing are protected against unauthorized access.
11. How long data is kept
- •Guest calculation history: Deleted immediately upon reloading or closing the tab.
- •Account calculation history: Kept until you clear it manually or delete your account (capped at 100 items).
- •Account data: Kept while the account exists, removed when you ask us to delete it.
- •Server and API logs: Short-lived and rotated.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Because we store so little, most of these are easy: ordinary guest data is gone upon reload, and account data is removed when you delete your account. Contact support@maths.tools for assistance.
13. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not available to them. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
14. International transfers
Our providers operate data centers in several countries. This means account data and logs may be processed in a country other than yours. We choose providers that commit to appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new version.
16. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints: support@maths.tools. This policy works alongside our Terms & Conditions and Security page.
